Learn a language by running your own scenes
Tarvingo streamlines this process, but you can use the prompts in this guide to play a scene with the AI provider of your choice.

Setting up your own scenes
An overview of the 4 prompts you'll need
We'll need to string together 4 prompts:
- A prompt to create the scene
- A prompt to create the characters
- A prompt to run the actual scene
- A prompt to check your sentences
1. Creating the scene
This is the prompt to create the scene. You can modify the sentence in bold to modify the scenario to something you would like to play.
I will be practicing role playing with an AI as a partner. I will send you a scenario template that I want you to fill out. I want the scenario to only contain two characters having a conversation. The genre should be a cosmic psychological horror in modern times. Here is the template:

3. Running the scene
This is the prompt you'll use to actually role play and run the scene. You'll need the results of the prompts from the previous two steps. Also, make sure to change "German" to the language that you are learning.
We're doing a role play. I'm learning German. We're having a conversation.
Speak only in simple German. Stay in your role no matter what. Feel free to improvise sometimes. I will send you the scenario, then I will send you your character sheet separated by 3 backticks like this ```. I am the other character in the scenario. You initiate the conversation with me.
This is the scenario overview:
```
[Paste the result from Step 1 here]
```
This is your character sheet:
```
[Paste the result from Step 2 here]
```
Remember: Speak only in simple German. Always stay in your role no matter what
4. Proof reading your sentences
Before sending a response in the scene dialogue, make sure to check it with this prompt before sending it through. Keep in mind that without all the scene context, some of these corrections might not be accurate, so make sure to give the AI more context if need be. The English statement also gives extra guidance on what you actually intended to say.
I am learning German. Please read the following sentence that I wrote and tell me if it's correct or not, and if not, explain the reason, then suggest corrections. I will send you my German sentence, followed by 2 dashes, then the English sentence showing my intended meaning:
Hallo... Ich bin Eli. Ich arbeite hier
--
Hello... I'm Eli. I work here
